Kelda Martensen & Michael J. Olsen showing @ Dubsea Coffee Jan.15-Feb.15

This is my first curated show for Dubsea, presenting Burien WA artist Kelda Martensen and Michael J. Olsen. The two of them do phenomenal and complimentary works and offer an eclectic range of words, range of imagery and a range of sizes for the mental/visual feast. They have blessed the walls of Dubsea with Gut rumbling work Giving the Greenbridge community the mental currency it deserves. If you have a chance or are in the area it will be a well worth trip to witness the travel narrative mixed media works and small books of Kelda Martensen. She produces an essential visceral arrangement of fantastical imagery and textures that have the essence to send you off into cerebral wander lust. The trip to Dubsea would be double the pleasure to see Michael J. Olsens text based work all made in response to listing to jazz. He created each of these works individually in a single sitting transcending the spirit of jazz through text each one fluidly rolling of his mental tongue and gaining shape and content through the clicking and clacking of his typewriter. Michael's book " To Listen " Featuring the complete series of his text based work , there is a copy on hand for taking a special gander before purchase. If you make it out to Dubsea your eyes will be as blessed as the walls they temporarily hang upon.
